Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies that result path. Our reference pages do not maintain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information included in that message and is used to respond or handle the request.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting environment may retain ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregate technical information to operate, secure, and improve the service. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, answer a message, troubleshoot errors, understand general traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create a personal profile from a visitor’s use of the Maryland Heights reference.
External Services
Links may send visitors to St. Louis County, Missouri, library, court, or sponsored-search services. Those services have their own privacy practices and rules for submitted information. Review their policies before entering personal details, especially into a search tool or government request form.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting, analytics, and technical providers may process the automatic information described above on our behalf. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share message or technical data for unrelated purposes.
Security Practices
The service uses encrypted connections where available and keeps logs only for operational needs. There are no user accounts, passwords, or user-created profiles on this site. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection of information transmitted online.
Children
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent information to us, contact us so it can be addressed.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about information in a message sent to us through the Contact page. Missouri’s Personal Privacy Protection Act, RSMo §105.1500, is a narrow protection for personal information identifying members, supporters, or donors of covered tax-exempt entities. Research did not identify a broad Missouri deletion right for every public record. Records held by Maryland Heights, St. Louis County, Missouri, a court, or a library must be corrected or restricted through their original custodian.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after a posted revision means the updated policy applies from that point forward.
